Margaret Cronin is an attorney and partner at Bridgeview Legal Advisors, PLLC. Margaret focuses her practice on advising families of wealth, private foundations, public charities and family businesses. As a strategic partner to her clients, she assists them in evaluating and pursuing legal strategies that meet their philanthropic, business and wealth transfer goals. Margaret’s work with her clients may involve estate and tax planning, managing enterprise growth and governance for for-profit and non-profit entities, and succession planning for family businesses and charitable foundations.
In addition to working with family enterprises, Margaret serves as outside general counsel for tax-exempt organizations including private foundations, public charities and community foundations.
Margaret has obtained a Certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute™, an international professional organization dedicated to providing interdisciplinary education for family business advisors. Her experience within the local, national and international family business community has been key in advising clients on family and business governance as well as multi-generational wealth transfer.
An active participant in the Twin Cities business and educational community, Margaret was a founding member of the Board of Directors of Women Entrepreneurs of Minnesota (WeMN), an organization supporting the growth of women-owned businesses. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of the University of St. Thomas Family Business Center. She is a member of the American Bar Association Nonprofit Organizations and Exempt Organizations Committees. Margaret is also a former chair of the Minnesota ND Women Connect Chapter through the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association.

Sharma Affeldt is an attorney and partner at Bridgeview Legal Advisors, PLLC. Sharma's primary practice areas include estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships and probate and trust disputes. Sharma enjoys meeting with clients to customize their estate plan to meet their unique needs. Her work with clients also involves estate tax planning, gifting strategies, cabin planning, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and charitable planning.
Sharma is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Arizona and Washington. She received her law degree from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and has a masters of law degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Sharma is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar and the Hennepin County Bar Association, where she formerly served as a Board Member.

Kathleen is an attorney and partner at Bridgeview Legal Advisors, PLLC. Her practice focuses on wealth preservation and transfer, utilizing gifting, charitable and estate planning strategies that are coordinated with her client’s overall financial plan. Kathleen also provides probate and trust administration services, as well as consultations to individuals acting in fiduciary roles, such as personal representative and trustee. Kathleen spent over 15 years in the financial services industry assisting high-net-worth individuals and families integrate their investments with their wealth transfer plans. Her motto that guides her in working with clients is “a life well planned is a life well lived.”
Kathleen has served as a guardian ad litem, a volunteer attorney with Minnesota Children’s Law Center, and a board member and chair of the public policy committee for Cornerstone, a local non-profit providing services for victims of domestic abuse. She was named a Top Woman in Finance and is a frequent author and lecturer on a variety of estate planning topics, both to professional and community organizations. Kathleen received her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and is a current member of the Minnesota State Bar and Hennepin County Bar Associations.
Kathleen and her husband, Bob, live in downtown Minneapolis, and have 2 children. When she’s not working, Kathleen enjoys reading, exercise (of all varieties), sewing and her newest interest—traveling!
